1. Is there a restriction on the number of users who can access titles at the same time?

The user concurrency limit will be determined in your library’s license agreement, and may vary between different library products. Please check with your sales representative or account manager.

2. Is remote access available?

We allow remote access by secure routes such as a referred URL access from an accessed-controlled page on the subscriber's website, access via a VPN (Virtual Private Network), Shibboleth, or Athens.

3. Will your content be visible in my Discovery Service product?

Yes. Metadata is being supplied to SUMMON, EBSCO, WorldCat, Primo and GoogleScholar.

4. Is the site open-URL compliant?

Bloomsbury Fashion Central is compliant with version 0.1 of the OpenURL specification. You can enable this feature in SAMs, our access management system and administration portal.

Please visit Subscriber Services for more information on SAMs.

5. Is Bloomsbury Fashion Central accessible through Open Athens and/or Shibboleth?

Yes. If your institution uses authentication through Open Athens or Shibboleth, you can select this option from the login page.

6. Is the content viewable in HTML format?

All of the books in the Fairchild Books Library are available in full text HTML format. This is more convenient for online display, and allows features such as re-sizing of text, easy copying and pasting, re-flowing to fit different sized screens, and internal hyperlinks within the book (e.g. from note references to end notes, and from bibliographic references to the bibliography). Apart from the page layout, the HTML text is identical to the print version, and we have retained pagination information to allow citing page numbers when quoting from these books.

Berg Fashion Library and Fashion Photography Archive also take HTML format. However, Fairchild Books textbooks take PDF format.
